I finally had some time to shoot something new this past week, and I got to try out a few of my Christmas presents! Adam gave me the marble and wood cheese board and the in-laws gave me the Anthropologie plate 😍.
I saw a request on ImageBrief for lifestyle shots of stemless wineglasses and decided that would be a fun rainy day project. Well, actually it was one of the few nice sunny days we've had this winter, but by the time we finished breakfast and went to Walmart (me for a wineglass and Jazzy to spend some birthday money) and got back home the rain was threatening again. A few shots have a little sun in them though.
After getting things set up and trying some shots I decided to put my newly acquired tripod to good use and add a little movement with pouring.
Lastly I did some straight overhead shots which were a novelty for me since I mostly shoot with a 50mm and am not known for my height! It was wonderful to be able to set everything up and then tweak the styling a bit after each shot without re-framing the whole thing. Overall I'm quite happy with how things turned out. I was able to shoot two different set ups fairly quickly and get everything put away before lunch. Now the challenge is to keep up the creative flow!
